COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 9:00 A.M. MAY 28, 2019
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright & Commissioner Laura
Osiadacz. Absent: Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Julie
Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Candie Leader, Administrative
Assistant – Public Works.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending May 24, 2019.
FOLLOW UP PROSECUTOR MEETING COMMISSIONERS
Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II questioned if the Board
wanted to meet as a Board or individually with the Prosecutor as a
follow up to an e-mail Mr. Zempel had sent out offering up the
ability to meet with him as follow up to the survey from his office.
Chairman Wright and Commissioner Osiadacz stated they would like a
Board meeting and directed Staff to work on setting it up.
REQUEST STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS – BOWERS PUBLIC WORKS
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve a Request for Statement of
Qualifications for Bowers Field Consultant Services Providing
Operational Planning Assistance, to be submitted by 10:00 a.m. on
June 13, 2019 at the Kittitas County Public Works Office, 411 North

Ruby Street, Suite 1, Ellensburg, WA and to authorize the Clerk to
publish said notice.
WAIVER RSVP MANASTASH METRIC – ADMIN TAX COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to authorize an exemption from the
County Admissions Tax for (RSVP) Manastash Metric. Chairman Wright
seconded. Staff was directed to send a letter notifying the
applicant. Motion carried 2-0.
RESOLUTION 2019-086 TASK ORDER #6 WEIHL RD PUBLIC WORKS
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve Resolution No. 2019-086,
Authorizing Chair’s Signature on KPG, P.S. Task Order No. 6
Amendment No. 03, Weihl Road Improvements.
RATIFY LETTERS TO CITY OF ROSLYN & CHAMBER COMMISSIONERS
Chairman Wright moved to approve and ratify Commissioner Laura
Osiadacz’s signature on letters to the City of Roslyn and Kittitas
County Chamber of Commerce regarding the Roslyn Campaign, Amendment
to Professional Services Agreement LT-2019-01 between Kittitas
County and Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. Commissioner
Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined for the week of May 27, 2019 they would post an
announcement for an RFQ for the Bowers Field Consultant Services and
an invite from Sanda City Japan for interested individuals from
Kittitas County to come run in their half marathon in December-
noting that the resident would pay for airfare and lastly they would
post an update about the completion of the TREX exercise/event that
took place in Kittitas County.
UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Removed from the Agenda as the Board no longer meets one on one with
Department Heads.
