COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM
SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. JUNE 4, 2019
Board members present: Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith and
Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. Excused: Chairman Cory Wright.
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board and Mark Cook, Public
Works Director/Interim Engineer.
PUBLIC HEARING MICHELETTO ROAD PUBLIC WORKS
At 2:00 p.m. VICE-CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public Hearing to
consider the Vacation of Micheletto Road in Cle Elum, Washington.
MARK COOK, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/INTERIM ENGINEER provided a Staff
Report and indicated the Board of County Commissioners must declare
its intention to vacate and abandon Micheletto Road. He reviewed
the background and the requirements of RCW 36.87.040. The Public
Works Department recommended approving the proposed vacation.
THERE BEING NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF
THE HEARING WAS CLOSED.
RESOLUTION 2019-094 MICHELETTO ROAD PUBLIC WORKS
COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution No. 2019-094,
Declaring the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioner’s Intent
to Vacate and Abandon Micheletto Road. VICE-CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH
seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
ORDINANCE 2019-008 MICHELETTO ROAD PUBLIC WORKS
COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Ordinance No. 2019-008, for
the Vacation of Micheletto Road Pursuant to Revised Code of
Washington 36.87 and Kittitas County Code 12.22. VICE-CHAIRMAN
WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
PUBLIC HEARING HARTMAN ROAD PUBLIC WORKS
At 2:09 p.m. VICE-CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public Hearing to
consider the Vacation of Hartman Road in Cle Elum, Washington.
MARK COOK, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/INTERIM ENGINEER provided a Staff
Report and reviewed an application for a Road Vacation of Hartman
Road. He reviewed the background and requirements of RCW 36.87.040.
The Public Works Department recommended approving the proposed

vacation, noting the retention of a utility easement for existing
overhead transmission lines.
THERE BEING NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF
THE HEARING WAS CLOSED.
ORDINANCE 2019-009 HARTMAN ROAD PUBLIC WORKS
COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Ordinance No. 2019-009, for
the Vacation of Hartman Road Pursuant to Revised Code of Washington
36.87 and Kittitas County Code 12.22. VICE-CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH
seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:14 p.m.
