06/20/2019 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br /> <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM SPECIAL MEETING THURSDAY 8:00 A.M. JUNE 20, 2019 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board and Mandy Buchholz, Deputy <br />Clerk of the Board II. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING BUDGET PRIORITIES COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 8:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to discuss the <br />2020 Commissioners Office priorities & budget. <br /> <br />The Board reviewed information for the 2019 Budget Retreat relating to <br />the 2020 Commissioner’s office budget. They indicated their top <br />departmental budget priority was travel, training, and minor office <br />furniture. Both travel and training will most likely need to be <br />increased and would come from the General Fund. There was discussion on <br />priorities beyond 2020 that included creating a County Administrator <br />position and Budget Director. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS: <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board announced that Debbie Myers, Board <br />Clerk has turned in her resignation and her last day of employment with <br />Kittitas County will be on July 18, 2019. She asked for feedback on <br />increasing the position from 30 to 40 hours a week and changing the <br />title from Board Clerk to Deputy Clerk I. The Board gave their support <br />on increasing the position from 30 to 40 hours a week, to change the <br />title while making sure the job description is accurate and to advertise <br />the position as soon as possible. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:58 a.m. <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON Julie Kjorsvik Cory Wright, Chairman
