COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. JUNE 17, 2019
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith & Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II & Julie
Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board and one member of the public.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending June 14, 2019.
LETTER HOPESOURCE LETTER OF SUPPORT COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve and authorize the Chair’s
signature on a letter to Kirk Pearson, State Director of USDA Rural
Development WA State Office, in support of the HopeSource proposal
to apply for USDA Housing Preservation Grant. Commissioner Osiadacz
seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
LETTER STATE AUDITORS SPACE REQUEST COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve a request from the County
Auditor regarding a request for space for the State Auditor at the
Morris Sorenson Building. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded.
Commissioner Wachsmith stated that the letter outlines clearly how
the billing would work, and he is comfortable moving forward. Motion
carried 3-0.

DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined for the week of June 17, 2019 they would post
the following on their Facebook: A Certificate of Appreciation to
Sgt. Steve Panattoni for approximately 36 years of service to
Kittitas County; Proclamation Kathryn Crimp Day June 25, 2019 2A
Girls State Golf Champion; Solid Waste Public Hearing for Fees;
Public Hearing for Leasing of Kittitas County Water Rights through
Public Auction.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
Each Commissioner may use this time to brief the Board on varying
topics and discussions they independently had throughout the
previous week.
Commissioner Osiadacz gave a brief overview on the history of the
request from Cindy Millsap, Chair of the Upper County Traffic Task
Force. She asked the Board if she had their support to move forward
meeting with KCSO so that ultimately the Board could respond to the
request. The Board indicated they would support her meeting with
KCSO to get their feedback on the request, etc.
