2019-07-23 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 1:30 P.M. JULY 23, 2019 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright and Commissioner Laura <br />Osiadacz. Absent: Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Amy McGuffin, <br />Chamber CEO. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING CHAMBER OF COMMERCE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 1:30 p.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to receive a <br />quarterly update from Chamber CEO Amy McGuffin. <br /> <br />Amy McGuffin, CEO of the Chamber gave an update/review on the 2019 <br />Legislative & Economic Development Agenda for Kittitas County. The <br />Board discussed the Agenda topics with Ms. McGuffin and asked <br />clarifying questions. <br /> <br />Ms. McGuffin updated the Board on some L&I Hearings coming up that <br />could have significant long term impacts to Kittitas County <br />employers. It was determined that Chairman Wright would attend one <br />of the hearing dates as would HR Director Young and Budget & Finance <br />Director Judy Pless. <br /> <br />Ms. McGuffin stated that they have filled one of the vacancies at <br />the Chamber and hoping to fill the other soon. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2019-121 DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY – BLOOM SOLID WASTE <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve Resolution 2019-121, <br />Declaration of Emergency – Replacement of Pipe for the Fire <br />Sprinkler System at Bloom Pavilion. Chairman Wright seconded.
