07/15/2019 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 9:40 A.M. JULY 15, 2019 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chair Brett <br />Wachsmith & Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Mark Cook, <br />Public Works Director/Interim County Engineer; Lisa Young, HR <br />Director and one member of the public. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim County Engineer presented <br />the Board a draft Airport Lease. He reviewed the prior conversations <br />regarding language changes specifically to page 7 clause 22, and <br />pages 1 and 2 regarding the yearly rate increase and CPI. He <br />reviewed the old language and discussions with Deputy Prosecutor <br />Neil Caulkins regarding risk for removing certain terms, noting that <br />most of it was federal regulatory language and what it would look <br />like moving forward if there was an issue between Lessee and the <br />County etc. <br /> <br />The Board stated that they were in support of the proposed Draft <br />Lease and indicated that Public Works could begin drafting leases. <br /> <br />Director Cook briefed the Board on the HopeSource Transit Stops <br />Project in Upper County and the WSDOT requirements they are learning <br />about.
