COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 10:00 A.M. AUGUST 12, 2019
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright & Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith. Excused: Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Taylor Crouch,
Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Mark Cook, Public Works
Director/Interim County Engineer and Jeanne Killgore, HR Rep.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD HUMAN RESOURCES
Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim County Engineer requested
the Board allow him to move forward with a Project Employee for
Construction of the Upper County Public Works Shop. He stated he is
not in a position to manage that project and as previously discussed
with the Board it would be a non-benefitted employee with a County
vehicle and gas card. He stated after getting prices from business
that offer the same work he and HR Director Young agreed upon the
wage of $45.00 an hour. He stated that it would be funded through
the Road Fund and will only go until the work is complete. He stated
that the Job Description is finished and he would like permission to
post.
The Board approved the request as presented.
REQUEST FAIR/RODEO ENTRYWAY DECORATE HUMAN RESOURCES
Jeanne Killgore, HR Rep. requested the Board consider granting
permission to the Employee Input Committee who would like to
decorate the Courthouse Hallway for Fair and Rodeo.
The Board approved the request as presented.
REQUEST HR CLOSURE – 8/16/2019 HUMAN RESOURCES
Jeanne Killgore, HR Rep. requested the Board allow HR to close one
additional day 8/16/19. She reviewed the request from last week to
close on 8/13/2019 & 8/14/2019 reminding them of the conflicts at
that time and explained that she has a medical appointment on the
16th that she was just informed of and has to go to.
The Board approved the request as presented.
