COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
THURSDAY 8:30 A.M. AUGUST 29, 2019
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith. Absent: Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Christopher
Horner, Deputy Prosecutor III; and Lisa Young, HR Director.
SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS
At 8:31 a.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting and announced
the Board would recess into Executive Session for 10 minutes to
discuss with legal counsel representing the agency matters relating
to agency enforcement actions, or to discuss with legal counsel
representing the agency litigation or potential litigation to which
the agency, the governing body, or a member acting in an official
capacity is, or is likely to become, a party, when public knowledge
regarding the discussion is likely to result in an adverse legal or
financial consequence to the agency. No action anticipated.
At 8:41 a.m. the Board reconvened from Executive Session.
Direction was given to Staff to work with the Risk Pool to manage
the situation.
OTHER BUSINESS
Vice-Chairman Wachsmith commented on the opening of the County Fair.
Christopher Horner, Deputy Prosecutor III commented that he and Lisa
Young, HR Director would be gathering research from other counties
regarding their small claims budgets.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:46 a.m.
