COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:40 A.M. AUGUST 19, 2019
Board members present: Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Laura
Osiadacz, Commissioner. Excused: Chairman Cory Wright.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Cori McKean,
Admin. Assistant II-Coroner; Kay Kresge, Financial Analyst.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD CORONER
Cori McKean, Admin. Assistant II requested the Board to consider
allowing the Coroner’s Department to purchase a surplus 2013 Ford
Explorer from Public Works. Ms. McKean stated that Nick Henderson,
Corner intended to be at the meeting to present the request, however
a family medical emergency came up and he couldn’t be here today.
She stated that since she has been here (February) it has broken
down multiple times and the 2008 Escape is not reliable or cost
effective. Chairman Wright stated that Public Works has indicated
that Explorer will be approximately $17,000.00.
The Board directed Staff to work with the Auditor’s Office to do a
Budget Amendment and surplus the Escape.
The Board discussed their support for purchasing the second Explorer
that will also be surplused from DPW for the County Motor Pool.
Meeting adjourned at 9:50 a.m.
