COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONER’S AUDITORIUM (Change in location) SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY 3:30 P.M. SEPTEMBER 10, 2019
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright and Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith. Excused: Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board and Alison White,
Extension Agent.
SPECIAL MEETING EXTENSION UPDATES EXTENSION
At 3:30 p.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to receive a
quarterly update from the WSU Cooperative Extension office.
Alison White, Extension Agent provided information on the various
duties she performs as well as the programs they have been working
on since the last time they met with the Board. She provided a
general overview of the 4-H programs and the assistance they provide
to approximately 4,500 kids between Kittitas and Yakima Counties
along with hundreds of volunteers. The Extension office intends on
getting out more Press Releases to keep the community informed of
what’s going on with programs, opportunities, and assistance that
might be available. She shared information on a substantial grant
they recently received and the projects that will be a benefit for
the youth.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:01 p.m.
