COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. OCTOBER 14, 2019
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice Chairman Brett
Wachsmith & Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Julie
Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the
Board I.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
vouchers & PAF’s.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending October 11, 2019.
DISCUSSION 2020 DEPARTMENT GOALS 18-19 ACCOMPLISHMENTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board discussed their 2020 Department Goals as well as 2018-2019
Accomplishments for Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board to include in
her Budget Narrative.
REQUEST PURCHASE CHAIRS COMMISSIONERS
Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board requested the Board’s permission
to purchase approximately 14 chairs to replace the swivel chairs in
the BoCC Conference Room & Auditorium. She stated they are over 20
years old and more and more of them are breaking. The Board agreed
it was more than time to replace them and directed Ms. Kjorsvik to
bring back a Budget Amendment.
REQUEST TABLE CLOTH COMMISSIONERS

Commissioner Wachsmith requested the Board consider purchasing
generic County tablecloths for Job Fairs and similar functions that
County Departments could use. There was discussion of who would be
in charge of them and the Board thought since the request originated
from the County Clerk (Val Barschaw) departments could check it in
and out through her office. The Board authorized the purchase of a
generic table cloth for County use.
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined that for the week of October 14, 2019 they
would share on their Facebook a reminder for the Shakeout on
Thursday October 17, 2019 at 10:17 a.m.; the Kittitas County Fire
Marshal’s Arson Hotline; and the Hospice Friends Fly In Event at
Bowers Field Event that took place on 10/5/2019, as well as notice
that there will be another event in 2020.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
Each Commissioner may use this time to brief the Board on varying
topics and discussions they independently had throughout the
previous week.
