2019-06-20 MINUTES 1  <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />FINANCE STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />THURSDAY 1:30 PM June 20, 2019 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright, Commissioner Brett Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Jerry Pettit, County Auditor; Amy Cziske, County Treasurer; Heather Seibert, Deputy Treasurer, Jim Goeben, <br />IT Director and Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Manager. <br />The meeting was called to order at 1:32 pm. <br /> <br />CGI Communications <br />Commissioner Wright presented a contract with Kittitas County and CGI Communications to create a series of <br />professionally produced online videos to highlight everything our community offers residents, visitors, and business <br />owners. Commissioner Osiadacz made the motion for the chair to sign the agreement and Commissioner Wachsmith <br />seconded the motion. Motioned passed. <br /> <br />NOVAtime <br />Judy Pless presented to the Board a proposal to upgrade NOVAtime to the newest version in order to meet the <br />requirements of moving to Windows 10. The current version is not compatible with Windows 10 and the new version <br />would be in the cloud. Jim Goeben informed the Board his department needed to work through the security issues, but <br />did not have any issues with the upgrade. Pless stated the cost would be about the same as we currently paying for <br />maintenance. The Board approved staff looking into the upgrade. <br /> <br />Budget Reports <br />Pless presented the budget reports for May 2019. <br /> <br />Fiscal Notes <br />Judy Pless inform the Board that in December 2017, the commissioners agreed they wanted to have fiscal notes on <br />everyone's staff report for agenda items. Pless asked the Board if they would like to have her follow through with <br />requiring fiscal notes on department’s staff reports. The Board agreed they would like to see the fiscal notes. Pless <br />stated she would work with Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board to inform Departments. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br />The Board asked Judy Pless when the credit card and motor pool policies would be completed and Pless stated they are <br />almost completed. <br />Meeting adjourned at 2:30 pm. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Judy Pless Cory Wright, Chairman <br />
