10/23/2019 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br /> <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING MONDAY 9:00 A.M. OCTOBER 23, 2019 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith & Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Kady Porterfield, Event <br />Center Director; and Lisa Young, Human Resource Director. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING EVENT CENTER FOLLOW UP COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 11:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting for an update and <br />follow up on the structure of the Event Center and Maintenance meeting <br />from September 18, 2019. <br /> <br />Kady Porterfield, Event Center Director said things have been going well <br />at the Event Center. She explained how Kevin and David from the <br />Maintenance Department come over and showed them how to blow out the <br />water lines, etc. They have been working on creating a preventative <br />maintenance schedule for this winter, noting there may be some changes <br />to it as necessary. <br /> <br />The Board of Commissioners will begin doing monthly an individual walk- <br />through with Kady of the Event Center/Fairgrounds. The Board asked Kady <br />to schedule another follow up meeting at some point with all three <br />Commissioners. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS: <br />Lisa Young, Human Resources Director reviewed the comparable agencies <br />for the wage survey along with financial information. She said she would <br />be sending out an invitation to meet with Department Heads and Elected <br />Officials to review results of the wage survey and then follow up with <br />them individually. Commissioner Osiadacz said she would like to look <br />into researching information on benefits for next year and look at a <br />holistic approach between wages and benefits. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:20 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
