2019-10-22 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 1:30 P.M. OCTOBER 22, 2019 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Amy McGuffin, <br />Chamber CEO. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING CHAMBER OF COMMERCE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 1:30 p.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to receive a <br />quarterly update from Chamber CEO Amy McGuffin. <br /> <br />Amy McGuffin, CEO of the Chamber provided talking points and gave <br />reports on the Chamber Rep. (Brian Lenz) on the Airport Advisory <br />Board. She reviewed the Chamber’s Stakeholders Committee and the <br />make-up of it. She asked if the Board would like to be on it or <br />appoint a County Staff member. She reviewed the Tourism Committee <br />Rep. (Steve Townsend) and the Economic Development Committee <br />Representatives (Kirk Holmes, Linda Schactler, John Sinclair, Phil <br />Kelleher and Mitchell Long). She shared a new opportunity coming up <br />for them to have a Small Business Development Center (SBDC), with a <br />full time Agent that will be located in the Upper County. <br /> <br />Ms. McGuffin questioned if the Board wanted to rotate members on the <br />Government Affairs monthly meeting.
