11/05/2019 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br /> <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONER’S AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY 4:30 P.M. NOVEMBER 5, 2019 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Mark Cook, Public <br />Works Director/Interim Engineer; Lisa Young, Human Resources Director; <br />and 1 member of the public. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING PUBLIC WORKS STAFFING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 4:30 p.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to discuss future <br />plans for Public Works Staffing. <br /> <br />Lisa Young, Human Resources Director explained wage options for Public <br />Works positions for budget years 2020 and 2021. Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director/Interim Engineer explained his views on the hiring process. <br />There was discussion on job descriptions and recruitment. Direction was <br />given to Staff to update the job description and to bring forward a <br />letter for Board signature at the next Public Works Department Head <br />meeting. <br /> <br />There was discussion on the Airport Manager and possibilities for who <br />should sit on the interview committee position. Mark Cook was directed <br />to put together a bid for a trailer. Lisa Young was directed to change <br />the job title.
