COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:40 A.M. NOVEMBER 25, 2019
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright & Commissioner Laura
Osiadacz. Excused - Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Val Barschaw,
County Clerk.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD CLERK
Val Barschaw, County Clerk asked the Board to consider authorizing
her to purchase crossing flags for the crosswalk at 6th and Water.
She stated it would be approximately $107.48. She stated that she
has brought up the concern multiple times to previous Boards and the
Risk Manager and nothing has been done. She stated that numerous
times people almost get hit and it’s not safe.
The Board approved the request & authorized Ms. Barschaw to obtain
the GL Code from Judy Pless to make the purchase. They indicated
that they appreciated her work to get the ball rolling on making the
crosswalk hopefully safer for employees.
