COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING
FRIDAY 9:30 A.M. DECEMBER 6, 2019
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith; and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Darren Higashiyama,
Operations Commander; Cori McKean, Administrative Assistant II;
Sharrie McPherson, Fiscal Clerk; Sarah Keith, Superior Court

Director/Project Manager; Kari Braniff; Dan Carlson, CDS Director,
Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager; Tristen Lamb, Public Health
Administrator; Heather Seibert, Ben Kokjer, Operations Commander;
Amy Cziski, Treasurer; Candi Blackford, Administrative Supervisor;
Tina Rowen, Fiscal Analyst; Lainne Bradshaw, Assessment Coordinator;

PUBLIC HEARING 2020 BUDGET COMMISSIONERS
At 9:30 a.m. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing continued from
December 3, 2019 to consider adoption of the 2020 budget. He noted
the record was still open.
JUDY PLESS, BUDGET & FINANCE MANAGER said the changes that were
directed by the Board at the previous Public Hearing had been made
and figures had been recalculated and provided the Board with
Resolutions for their consideration.
THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. RESOLUTION 2019-185 2020 BUDGET AUDITOR COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to approve Resolution No. 2019-185,
Adopting the Budget for the County of Kittitas, Washington, for the
Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2020. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ
seconded. Motion carried 3-0. RESOLUTION 2019-186 LEVYING CERTIFICATION AUDITOR COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to approve Resolution No. 2019-186, For
the Levying Certification for the General Fund for Municipal
Purposes of Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2020 According
to the Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2019. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ seconded. Motion carried 3-0.

RESOLUTION 2019-187 LEVYING CERTIFICATION – ROAD AUDITOR COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to approve Resolution No. 2019-187, For
the Levying Certification for the County Road for Municipal Purposes
of Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2020 According to the
Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2019. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2019-188 LEVYING CERTIFICATION – FLOOD CONTROL AUDITOR COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to approve Resolution No. 2019-188, For
the Levying Certification for the County Flood Control Zone District
for Municipal Purposes of Kittitas County, Washington for the Years
2020 According to the Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year
2019. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
The Board expressed their appreciation to Judy Pless, Budget &
Finance Manager as well as everyone for their work with the new
budget software and process this year.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:36 a.m.
