KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. JANUARY 13, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman
Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Julie
Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the
Board I.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
vouchers & PAF’s.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending January 10, 2020.
REVIEW COMMISSIONER COMMITTEE’S COMMISSIONERS
Staff provided copies of the current committees that the
Commissioners serve on. The Board reviewed them and made no changes
for 2020 with the exception of those which follow Chairmanship or
that are no longer something Kittitas County participates in.
APPOINTMENT CARLA THOMAS - DDAC COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to appoint Carla Thomas to the Kittitas
County Development Disabilities Advisory Board for a three-year term
effective immediately and expiring on 12/31/2022. Commissioner
Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
APPOINTMENT CZISKE – COG COMMISSIONERS

Commissioner Osiadacz moved to appoint Amy Cziske to the Kittitas
County Conference of Government (COG) Board, effective immediately
as the Kittitas County Rep. Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion
carried 3-0.
UPDATE TOWN HALL MEETINGS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined they would not hold townhall meetings in 2020.
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined for the week of January 13, 2020 that they
would share on their Facebook the Press Release for Bullfrog Road
Speed Reduction; notice that interviews for Airport Manager have
been conducted and recommendations will be forthcoming and an update
on Kittitas County’s support for Forest Health and the meetings that
are taking place where the County is actively working with DNR and
other key players to advocate for Forest Health.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
Each Commissioner may use this time to brief the Board on varying
topics and discussions they independently had throughout the
previous week.
