01/07/20 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 9:30 A.M. JANUARY 7, 2020 <br /> <br /> <br />Board members present: Commissioner Cory Wright; Commissioner Brett <br />Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Mark Cook, <br />Public Works Director/Interim Engineer. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION PUBLIC FACILITIES AWARD PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />At 9:30 a.m. Commissioner Wright opened a Special Meeting to discuss <br />with County Staff the Public Facilities Awards. <br /> <br />Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim County Engineer presented <br />the Board with the COG recommendations that came from the COG <br />meeting on 12/18/2019. He reviewed the rankings and amounts as well <br />as the reasoning behind the amounts awarded. He stated that the <br />problem is they had two applications and funding that came forward <br />to be awarded on 11/5/2019 to Ellensburg Business Development <br />Authority dba Centerfuse and the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce <br />(approximately $152,000.00) and now with the additional funding the <br />recommendations from the COG are now overfunding what is available. <br /> <br />The Board discussed options and priorities moving forward. <br /> <br />The Board directed Director Cook to do a full audit on unclaimed <br />awards and see what that would do to the balance.
