KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 9:00 A.M. FEBRUARY 18, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz & Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Julie
Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board and Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the
Board I and Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim County
Engineer; Arden Thomas, Water Resource Program Manager.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
vouchers & PAF’s.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending February 14, 2020.
WAIVER NOISE ORDINANCE – WYCKOFF COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve and authorize a Noise
Ordinance Waiver request from Martha Wyckoff to host a private party
at 2831 Ley Road, Cle Elum, WA 98922 on August 1, 2020 until
midnight and directed Staff to notify Ms. Wyckoff, KITTCOM and the
KCSO. Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
DECLARATION CONFLICT OF INTEREST COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve and authorize the Chair’s
signature on a Waiver of Conflict – Flying M Acquisition Project
between Kittitas County and Plauche & Carr. Commissioner Wright
seconded. Motion carried 3-0.

LETTER SUPPORT HB1457 COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wright moved to approve and authorize Board signature
on a letter to Representative Laurie Jinkins regarding Kittitas
County’s Support for House Bill 1457, noting that the other letter
to Representative Tom Dent was published on the Agenda in error.
Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined for the week of February 17, 2020 that they
would share on their Facebook the letter of support the Board signed
regarding the Letter the Board signed in support of House Bill 1457.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
Each Commissioner may use this time to brief the Board on varying
topics and discussions they independently had throughout the
previous week.
