COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. MARCH 9, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz & Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Julie
Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the
Board I.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
vouchers & PAF’s.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending March 6, 2020.
RESOLUTION 2020-034 EXTENSION OF COFFEE STAND RFP PUBLIC HEALTH
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve Resolution No. 2020-034, A
Resolution to Authorize an Extension of a Coffee Stand Request for
Proposal (RFP). Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
APPOINT BRADLEY ESPARZA - HAHC COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to Appoint Mr. Bradley Esparza, for a
two-year term to the Kittitas County Homelessness & Affordable
Housing Committee, effective immediately noting that his term would
end 12/31/2021. Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
FOLLOW UP HB 1406 COMMISSIONERS

Commissioner Osiadacz questioned if the Ordinance was being drafted
yet for the second part of the Resolution the County did for HB
1406. She stated that last week while at WSAC she was questioned
where the County was at. Commissioner Wright stated that he met with
Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Director last week and she put in a
Service Request with the Prosecutor to draft the Ordinance. There
was discussion on the conflict between what date is the deadline and
Commissioner Wright stated the would confirm the deadline.
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined for the week of March 9, 2020 that they would
share on their Facebook the micro-grants notice for Lodging Tax
Funding opportunity; Kittcom Job Announcement and an update on the
COVID-19 with explanation of why the County Declared an Emergency.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
Each Commissioner may use this time to brief the Board on varying
topics and discussions they independently had throughout the
previous week.
