COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 9:00 A.M. MARCH 3, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman
Laura Osiadacz, and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Mark Cook,
Public Works Director/Interim County Engineer and 4 members of the
public.
SPECIAL MEETING LICK CREEK UPDATE COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to receive
an update regarding Lick Creek.
Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim County Engineer presented a
handout received January 23, 2020 from Attorney Jeff Slothower
regarding his clients Eric and Shauna Barlow and their tax parcel
No. 660536. Director Cook gave history on the project and reviewed
concerns. He reviewed the risks and stated that the Bridge
Procurement is fast approaching. He discussed the possibility of the
Flood Control Zone Advisory Committee possibly reviewing the project
and getting some assistance that route. He discussed with the Board
why this project is so different and why SEPA rules are not an
option.
The Board asked Director Cook to see the area being discussed and
they would like Director Cook to bring in the Consultant to see if
they have any suggestions the Board could consider before making any
decision.
Meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
