COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. MARCH 2, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz (By phone for approval of letter only) & Commissioner Cory
Wright.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Julie
Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the
Board I; Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager and Andrew Lyons,
Director of Operations.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
vouchers & PAF’s.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending February 28, 2020.
RESOLUTION 2020-030 AMENDMENT HOPESOURCE YOUTH SPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wright moved to approve Resolution No. 2020-030, A
Resolution Authorizing Amendment of the September 6, 2016 Youth
Sports Scholarship Program Contract with HopeSource. Commissioner
Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
INSTRUCTIONS DH RETREAT COMMISSIONERS
Staff was directed to send out an invitation to the BoCC’s
Department Head’s inviting them to the 3/31/2020 Department Head
Retreat at the PSE Wild Horse Wind Farm Conference Center, for an
all-day Retreat. Staff was also directed to publish the meeting.
They briefly discussed meal options for the retreat and will

continue to consider options.
LETTER USDA SUPPORT GOLD CREEK COMMISSIONERS
Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve and authorize Board signature on
a letter to the USDA Supporting Gold Creek Valley Restoration
Project. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined for the week of March 2, 2020 that they would
share on their Facebook the Special Olympics Team of Kittias County
taking silver at State and the Coronavirus Press Release from KCPHD.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
Each Commissioner may use this time to brief the Board on varying
topics and discussions they independently had throughout the
previous week.
