COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 10:30 A.M. MARCH 2, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith and Commissioner
Cory Wright. Excused: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Lindsey Ozbolt,
Planning Official; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Candie Leader,
Administrative Supervisor; Kady Porterfield, Event Center
Director; Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Taylor
Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Dr. Mark Larson, Public
Health Officer; Tristen Lamb, Public Health Administrator;
Darren Higashiyama, Chief Deputy; Ben Kokjer, Chief Deputy;
Arden Thomas, WRP Manager; and 2 members of the public. REGULAR MEETING AGENDA STUDY SESSION COMMISSIONERS
At 10:30 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Regular Meeting to
review items scheduled for the March 3, 2020 Agenda Session. The
Board of County Commissioners asked questions and received
reports from Staff on each Agenda item.
OTHER BUSINESS
Tristen Lamb, Public Health Administrator provided an update on
the COVID-19 virus. She reviewed ways for the public to decrease
risks of getting sick and encouraged them to be diligent in
washing their hands and to stay home if they are feeling ill.
She said the Public Health Department is not distributing masks
or issuing any closures currently. They have met with
representatives of the Sheriff’s Office on plans if a
Declaration of Emergency is needed in the future.
