COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. MARCH 17, 2020
Board members present: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz; and
Commissioner Cory Wright. Excused: Chairman Brett Wachsmith.
Others: Kady Porterfield, Event Center Director; Jeremy Johnston,
Staff Planner; Lindsey Ozbolt, Planning Official; and 3 members of
the public.
PUBLIC HEARING VENDOR RATES EVENT CENTER
At 2:00 p.m. VICE-CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to
consider Adopting Amendments for Fee Rates for Vendor Booth Space at
the Kittitas County Fair.
KADY PORTERFIELD, EVENT CENTER DIRECTOR said rates had not been
updated or changed since 2016. She reviewed proposed Amendments to
Fee Rates for Vendor Booth Space at the Kittitas County Fair and
recommended the Board’s approval.
THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. RESOLUTION 2020-055 VENDOR RATES EVENT CENTER COMMISSIONER WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2020-055,
Adopting Amendments to Fee Rates for Vendor Booth Space at the
Kittitas County Fair. VICE-CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ seconded. Motion
carried 2-0.
PUBLIC HEARING SUNCADIA PHASE 2 DIVISION 4 CDS
At 2:06 p.m. VICE-CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to
consider the Suncadia Phase 2, Division 4, a 39-lot Preliminary
Plat.
JEREMY JOHNSTON, STAFF PLANNER reviewed the Suncadia Phase 2,
Division 4, a 39-lot Preliminary Plat. Steve Lathrop, authorized
agent for New Suncadia, LLC, landowner, submitted an application for
a 39 detached residential lot plat with five (5) access and three
(3) Open Space tracts on approximately 11.22 acres of land that is
zoned Master Planned Resort. The proposed lots range in size from
5,900 to 10,800 square feet. In conjunction with the Preliminary
Plat Application, a site development plan was submitted for Suncadia

Phase 2, Division 4, located in Sec. 18, TWP. 20N, RGE. 15E, W.M.
(Parcel Number 960517).
THOSE PRESENT & TESTIFYING: GREG BRADFORD, NEW VISION NORTHWEST
said they’ve been working with Suncadia on the project and they are
satisfied with the conditions. STEVE LATHROP, ATTORNEY FOR THE APPLICANT thanked Staff for their thorough review and preparation of
the materials. He recommended approval of the request.
THERE BEING NO OTHERS REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. COMMISSIONER WRIGHT moved to approve the Suncadia Phase 2, Division
4, for a 39-Lot Preliminary Plat, as presented and to direct Staff
to prepare enabling documents. VICE-CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ seconded.
Motion carried 2-0.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:10 p.m.
