KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 10:00 A.M. MARCH 16, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman
Commissioner Laura Osiadacz & Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Kady
Porterfield, KVEC Director; Tristen Lamb, PH Administrator; Dr.
Larson, Public Official; Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Interim
Maint. Director/Project Manager.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD SOLID WASTE
RESOLUTION 2020-051 COURTHOUSE ADV.COMMITTEE MAINTENANCE
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve Resolution No. 2020-051,
Resolution Forming the New Courthouse Advisory Committee.
Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
REQUEST PLEXIGLASS SCREENS MAINTENANCE
Ms. Johnson presented the Board with requests from a few departments
that have requested temporary plexiglass screens. She stated that
she invited Dr. Larson the County Public Health Official to speak to
the necessity of the request as well as the messaging that it sends.
Dr. Larson stated that they are not even doing that at the Hospital
where they are subjected to sick residents on a daily basis. He
reminded the Board of the suggestions they are encouraging citizens
to follow to keep health and keep distance. The Board stated that
they would not move forward with the request as it’s not
recommended.
