03/12/2020 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM SPECIAL MEETING <br /> THURSDAY 3:30 P.M. MARCH 12, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> Others: Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Mark Cook, <br />Public Works Director/Interim County Engineer; Clay Myers, Sheriff; <br />and Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Interim Maintenance <br />Director/Project Manager. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING WEST PRECINT COMMISSIONERS <br />At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to discuss <br />and plan for West Precinct options. <br /> <br />Clay Myers, Sheriff stated that he would like Search and Rescue to <br />be more Upper County oriented. It would allow for a quicker response <br />time, as many S&R calls come from Upper County. <br /> <br />There was discussion on different possible options that would allow <br />for a Sheriff presence in Upper County. It was suggested that more <br />outreach be done in Upper County communities. <br /> <br />The Board asked Sheriff Myers to develop the specific space <br />requirements that he would need and to share the requirements with <br />the Board, Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim Engineer, and <br />Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Interim Maintenance <br />Director/Project Manager. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 4:15 p.m. <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD I KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON Taylor Crouch Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />
