COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM REGULAR MEETING MONDAY 9:00 A.M. MARCH 30, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith (by phone); Vice-
Chairman Laura Osiadacz (by phone) & Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Taylor Crouch, Deputy
Clerk of the Board I (by phone); and Lisa Young, Human Resources
Director.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
vouchers & PAF’s.
LETTER GOVERNOR INSLEE COMMISSIONERS
Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve and authorize Board signature on
a letter to Governor Jay Inslee regarding construction guidance and
the Stay Home, Stay Healthy Proclamation (20-25). Commissioner
Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0. UPDATE COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS
The Board provided updates on issues surrounding COVID-19.
AGREEMENT SERMO DIGITAL COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wright said he would recuse himself from the Agreement
and left the room. The Board reviewed a draft Professional Services
Agreement with Sermo Digital and requested Staff to make changes to
the document and send them back to the Prosecutors office and IT so
they can provide an updated version to be considered at a meeting
scheduled for March 31, 2020. The Board said they’d like to remove
all language relating to the Scope of Work’s details of providing
optional items. They felt they only wanted language and work to
include website development and updates.

POLICY DEPT. OF LABOR & INDUSTRIES HUMAN RESOURCES
Lisa Young, Human Resources Director, provided the Board with
information on policy changes caused by the Department of Labor &
Industries further guidance on the Federal Leave options. She noted
the item would be considered at a meeting on March 31, 2020. DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined for the week of March 30, 2020 that they would
share on their Facebook page including the letter to Governor
Inslee; a message to the citizens letting them know what the County
is still continuing to do including employees working from home and
they thought a weekly message would be beneficial through the COVID-
19 Stay-at-Home Order.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
Each Commissioner may use this time to brief the Board on varying
topics and discussions they independently had throughout the
previous week.
