COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM
SPECIAL MEETING
FRIDAY 2:00 P.M. MARCH 20, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, and Commissioner
Cory Wright. Absent: Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Jim Goeben, IT
Director; Tristen Lamb, Public Health Administrator; Chelsey
Loeffers, Health Promotion Supervisor and three members of the
public.
Via Phone: Stephanie Hartung, Deputy Prosecutor.
SPECIAL MEETING SERMO DIGITAL PROPOSAL COMMISSIONERS
At 2:00 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting regarding a
Contract Service Proposal from Sermo Digital to provide website
development and supplementary media relations services.
Matthew Lundh, Co-founder at Sermo Digital reviewed the understood
objective, deliverables as well as a project timeline. He explained
that they will also be able to act as a PIO and will watch social
media and bring forward concerns they see being shared, in an effort
to try to address those concerns. There was discussion on the
content being available in Spanish.
Commissioner Wright moved to approve & authorize Staff to draft a
PSA with Sermo Digital for Chair signature to end on 4/30/2020, with
an option to renew. Chairman Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
OTHER BUSINESS
Jim Goeben, IT Director presented the Board a .Gov Domain
Registration Form for the Chair’s signature. He stated that it will
need to be notarized. Staff suggested that it be signed in the
office to allow the Clerk of the Board the ability to witness the
Chair’s signature. Director Goeben asked for it to be delivered back
to him once signed. It was noted that the fee can be paid for by the
funds for COVID-19.
