04/29/2020 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING WEDNESDAY 10:00 A.M. APRIL 29, 2020 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz (via Webex) and Commissioner Cory Wright (via Webex). <br /> <br />Others: Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Julie Kjorsvik, <br />Clerk of the Board (via phone); Neil Caulkins, Chief Civil Deputy <br />(via Webex); Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board (via Webex); <br />Greg Zempel, Prosecutor (via Webex); Ken Harper, Kittitas County <br />Special Deputy Prosecuting Attorney (via Webex); and Chuck Boyd, <br />Deputy Director- Risk & Claims for the Risk Pool (via Webex). <br /> SPECIAL MEETING PLANNING UPDATE/COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS <br />At 10:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting for the <br />Board to provide planning updates relating to COVID-19. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright updated the Board on the Ferguson PSA on the <br />Agenda for today. There was discussion on the Courts and building <br />spaces in the County. A meeting will be set up with the Board and <br />Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Interim Maintenance <br />Director/Project Manager and IT staff to discuss options for the <br />Auditorium. Commissioner Wright will work on a specification sheet <br />for IT on what the Board’s needs are for public meetings in the <br />future. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz updated the Board on her progress working with <br />other Washington State County Commissioners. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith updated the Board on the Tuesday Business <br />call, information regarding re-opening and business plans that will <br />be found on www.kittitasemergency.org. <br /> AGREEMENT FERGUSON GROUP PSA COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright stated he had worked on this with the Ferguson <br />Group, they have opened the original I-90 specification to search <br />for more Federal grant opportunities for any department. <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve a PSA with the Ferguson <br />Group. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. During discussion <br />Commissioner Wachsmith stated he supported this PSA because the <br />funding could be spread through different sources and it would not <br />just be a General Fund spend.
