SELECTING BAER TESTING AND GEOPROFESSIONAL INNOVATION AS PUBLIC
WORKS ON.CALL TASK ORDER CONSULTANTS FOR UP TO A THREE.YEAR
PERIOD OF SERVICE AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO
SIGN SAID CONTRACTS
WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works (PW) prepared a solicitation for engineering and
professional services consistent with state law and county code in January 2020;
and
WIIEREAS: PW docketed a request to solicit for engineering and professional services on the
Board of County Commission general business agenda on January 2I,2020; and
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners did direct PW proceed with solicitation
efforts and said process concluded with submittals being received on February 13,
2020; and
WHEREAS: Consistent with solicitation advertising an internal review team of PW reviewed
and scored all material testing and related professional engineering services
submittals; and
WHEREAS: The consensus of the reviewers selects Baer Testing and GeoProfessional Innovation
for material testing and related professional services contracts for up to a three-year
period (two-year base with possible third year extension if mutually agreed upon);
NOW' THEREF'ORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best
interest of the public, does hereby select Baer Testing and GeoProfessional Innovation for standard
professional services contracts (acceptable to the Prosecuting Attomey's Office);
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Public Works Director is directed to sign said contracts on
behalf of the Board of Corurty Commissioners.
