RESOLUTION NO. 2020.h+D
A Resolution Authorizing Amendment af 2O19-2020 Professional Services Agreement by
and between Kittitas County Superior Court, Juvenile Court Services and Kristi Hunziker for
Special Sex Offender Disposition Alternative (SSODA) services.
WHEREAS, Kittitas County Juvenile Court Services contracts with Kristi Hunziker for
SSODA treatment services; and
WHEREAS, A Professional Services Agreement has been established by and between
the parties; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Hunziker has requested an amendment of the contract to address the
changed circumstances created by the current COVID-19 health crisis; and
WHEREAS, an amendment of services is necessary during the COVID-19 health crisis
to reduce the risk to both Ms. Hunziker and the juveniles to whom she is
providing treatment; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Hunziker will adjust the rate charged to reflect the less direct contact
with the youth
NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED AND lT lS HEREBY ORDERED, that the
attached amendment of the Professional Services Agreement between Kittitas County and
Kristi Hunziker be executed for SSODA treatment services.

RE Proposed Amendnrent to Professional Ser-v'ice Agreement
To Whom It May Concern::
In light of the cuffent situation with the Covid-19 virus, arld the closure of scliools, restaurarlts,
banks" and other public spaces in order to inrplement social distancing tbr the safety of ourselves
and others, I am proposing to work with the client I am providing SSODA serv'ices to via video
conferencing. It is neither proper nor ethical, in my view., to charge firll rate for this method of
providing treatment. Therefore I would like to propose a recluced rate ofjust over one-half the
tlsual payment rate of $85 per 50 nrinute session" to $45. I plan to keep tracl< of how long the
video conferencing is able to be productive, with sustained attention between myself and the
client. If it appears that attention is flagging, we will only meet fbr 30 minutes. I propose $27 fbr
a half an hour session.
Please let me know if that will be acceptable to the County's Juvenile Court Services. I hope to
begin by the end of this week, or next week at the latest.
