KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 5, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Award the Contract for the <br />Construction of the Upper Kittitas County Road Maintenance Facility <br />and authorize the Public Works Director to execute the same. <br />BACKGROUND: In 2017 Kittitas County Public Works purchased a 6.61 -acre site at <br />the intersection of State Route 903 and No. 5 Mine Road to be the <br />location for a new the Upper Kittitas County Road Maintenance <br />Facility, replacing the current I -acre site. Kittitas County Public <br />Works and KPG Interdisciplinary Design have been working on site <br />plans and design since October 2017. Kittitas County Community <br />Development Services issued building permits in August of 2019 for <br />the construction. The Board of County Commissioners authorized a <br />call for sealed bids for the construction of a new Upper Kittitas <br />County Road Maintenance Facility on February 24, 2020. Bids were <br />opened on April 10, 2020.
