AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: April 21, 2020
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Professional Services Agreement
between Accurate Electric Unlimited and the Kittitas County Jail to replace (38) cameras.
BACKGROUND: The current CCTV camera system at the jail is reaching the end of its
operational life. Viconnet Version 8 will no longer be supported by the end of 2020.
Upgrades to the CCTV system began in February 2019 with the replacement of the
control stations and software so they have the capability of being upgraded to Windows
10. AEU now proposes to provide and install (3 8) new dome cameras, which includes
(2) PTZ cameras, as the current cameras have a limited remaining lifespan and are no
longer available for replacement. The existing CATS cable infrastructure will be utilized
for this project, which will constitute the final step in the CCTV upgrades for the jail.
INTERACTION: This Proposal was reviewed and approved by the Kittitas County
Prosecutor's Office.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve the Professional Services Agreement
between Accurate Electric Unlimited and the Kittitas County Jail to replace (3 8) cameras.
HANDLING: Please return 1 signed original to KCSO. Sheriffs Office to provide a
fully executed Agreement back to the BOCC upon signature by vendor.
