AGENDA DATE: March 17, 2020
ACTION REQUESTED: Set a Public Hearing for April 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. to
consider an application to the Department of Commerce
for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Public Service Funds beginning July 1, 2020 through June
30, 2021.
BACKGROUND: The Department of Commerce notified Kittitas County and
HopeSource that there is a total of $84,239.00 available in
Community Development Block Grant funds to provide public
services that principally benefit low-and moderate-income persons
for the period July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.
INTERACTION: As part of the funding requirements the Board of County
Commissioners are to conduct a Public Hearing to inform citizens
of the availability of funds, eligible uses and receive comments on
proposed activities, particularly from low-and moderate-income
persons, as well as receive comments on the programs past
performance and use of their 2019 CDBG Public Service Grant
funds.
RECOMMENDATION:
Set a Public Hearing to be held on Tuesday April 7, 2020 at 2:00
p.m. to consider public comments on the availability of funds and
eligible uses and proposed activities on the Community
Development Block Grant Public Service funds available to Kittitas
County and HopeSource.
