RE: Request Amendment of Kittitas County Code to transfer duties of Admissions
Tax collection from the Auditor's Office to the Treasurer's Office
Background: Chapter 3.22 of the Kittitas County Code imposes and
admissions tax in Kittitas County as authorized by chapter
3 6.3 8 RCW.
Interaction: The Auditor's Office and Treasurer's Office have agreed
that the collection of this Admission tax is better
administered through the Treasurer's Office.
Recommendation: The Auditor and Treasurer recommend that the
Commissioners amend County Code to reflect the transfer
of this duty.
