ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize Kittitas Valley Event
Center Facility Fee Waivers for the Ellensburg Rodeo Posse
BACKGROUND: KVEC has an interest in providing the facilities for the activities and
events produced by the Ellensburg Rodeo Posse as it holds a significant
benefit to the Kittitas County Fair, Ellensburg Rodeo, and Patriot Night
Under the Lights events as the Posse members are valuable volunteers
and advocates of these large events.
KVEC has also been the historic home to the Ellensburg Rodeo and the
Rodeo Posse for almost a century with the “Posse Barns” being located on
the grounds owned and operated by KVEC of Kittitas County. The
Ellensburg Rodeo Posse is a valuable partner to KVEC.

RECOMMENDATION: Approve Resolution to authorize facility fee waivers for the
Ellensburg Rodeo Posse.
