Cider is indeed trending, with a growing audience vrho support the market because: they like the flavor; they like the variety of flavors; they like that it's locally made; they like that small orchards are geiting a new lease on life; they like a frosiy adult beverage on a hoi day (and they're maybe a little iired of beer); they are avoiding gluten; ihey are focused on buying organic/local; they rr€nt to try making ii themselves; they \ Ent to share it with others. The music has also proven io be a great draw. Roots Music across the region coniinues to have a loyal audience, and in fact, attendance at Chinook Entertainment festivals is increasing. https://wuru.dailyrecordneras.comloutdoors/keen-connects-windfall-cider-fest-and- roots-music-is-abouVarticle 5d78b6f8-8126-5756-9c08-2681d316Bac1.html 2500 character liffit Supporting Documents Yat nay upload any supporting docurrents such as graphs, inages, diagrans, nerketing naterials, etc. 2O2O Cider Event_Option B.pdf 160.29K8 One week arrray email- WindFall.pdf 56.96K8 final poster.pdf 2.96M8 Ycu are allo/ved to subnit up to 3 single page (LE Lefter) docunents in JS FF or llFFfornat 7l Previous Lodging Tax Grant lnformation Previous Years Fhs your event received Lodging Tax funds in previous years? We haven't applied for any funding from any of our proposed or promised 2020 sponsor partners simply because the 201 9 event hasn't happened. Hor,r,ever, Tree Top and Solarity Credit Union have both verbally promised to support next year, and their communiiy giving season (time to apply) is in November. CiderCrafi and Sip Magalnes have told us definitely they uant their names associated with this event, as has the NW Cider Association. I have estimated, based on our verbal conversations, the approximate amount of potential sponsorship from these knoi,rn partners below CiderCraft and Sip in pariicular are excited about this newevent and have indicated "we want to help make this a landmark event", and they will bring their industry contacis with them. 2500 character linit Wrat changes would occur if the pro, ject couldnt befunded? lf WindFall \ /as to not receive any lodging tax funding, rare rir, ould need to analyze which parts of the event to reduce. Likely NPR and Chinook Entertainment costs r,rould be reduced - that uould mean smaller name bands attending. Since none of the lodging tax can be used for food or drink, (which is half the theme of the overall event), WindFall raould probably have to choose smaller, less well-knovrar bands, hire a cheaper stage and have a lower quality show. That raould be a shame, since it appears that the initial interest from many people is the attraction of the knovvl bands. For instance, since u/e booked old salt Union as a headliner (for 2018) they have been touring the vrcst, and are now named as one of the rising stars in the bluegrass scene. until this event has a few years and a performance record, funding will be critical to get qualiiy entertainment, and to get the uord oui about it. 2500 charccter linit. 68.40 o//o ftis field will auio fill with the correct percentage based on your input to budget section bdo,v For any clained irkjnd conlributions valued at $500 or rrore and related to mrketingladvertising, you rrust subnit verifying docunentation which assures the contributjon will be provided.
