ACTION REQUESTED:
Request to approve contract change #27 with Aspect Consulting, LLC.
for potential aquifer recharge site feasibility study
BACKGROUND: The Naneum and Teanaway basins have many developable lots, however, the
County does not have adequate full-season water rights for mitigation in these
areas. There is potential for regional aquifer recharge sites in these areas to serve
as the local mitigation. Aspect Consulting, LLC., as outlined in this agreement, will
conduct a feasibility study and deliver a report to the County which may then be
used to apply for grant funding through the Streamflow Restoration Grant
Program.
INTERACTION: The Prosecutors office has reviewed and produced the proposed
Resolution. The Prosecutor did not suggest any revisions to the
document.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the contract change and Resolution.
