AGENDA DATE: February 18, 2020
ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to publish a Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA) for Grant Applications in the amount of $130,000.00 to help address
local homeless priorities with Rapid Rehousing Vouchers utilizing the Homelessness fund.
BACKGROUND: Currently there is approximately $1,043,788.00 available in the Homelessness funds available to address the local homeless priorities. The Homeless and Affordable Housing
Committee met on January 31st, 2020 and voted to recommend the BOCC publish a NOFA in the amount of $130,000 to address local homeless priorities. The Board of County Commissioners has
primary responsibility for administration of the program, which funds are maintained by the County Auditor’s Office pursuant to RCW 36.22.179.
INTERACTION: The Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee will review the grant applications and make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners. The BOCC will make the final
determination of the awards.
RECOMMENDATION: Request the Board of County Commissioners to publish a Notice of Funds Available to address local homeless priorities with Rapid Rehousing Vouchers utilizing the Homelessness
fund in the amount of $130,000.00 The applications to be available February 20, 2020; online or can be picked up in the Commissioner’s Office. Deadline for completed applications is
March 5, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the Commissioner’s Office.
