KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: February 4, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize the Addition <br />of Bullfrog Road Repaving to the 2020 Annual <br />Construction Program and Assign a County Road Project <br />Number <br />BACKGROUND: In early December 2019, significant roadway deterioration <br />became apparent along the entire length of Bullfrog Road. <br />Staff has filled nearly 100 potholes in the past several <br />months and recently the Board reduced the speed limit to <br />35 MPH along the entire roadway — minimizing ongoing <br />damage to vehicles. Public Works anticipates grinding <br />(milling) the existing roadway surface and then placing a <br />new two-inch asphalt overlay along the entire length of <br />Bullfrog Road. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to authorize the addition of <br />Bullfrog Road Pavement Repaving to the 2020 Annual <br />Construction Program and assign a County Road Project <br />Number. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
