AGENDA DATE: January 21, 2020
ACTION REQUESTED: Hold a Public Hearing to Consider and Approve Amending Rental
Rates at the Kittitas Valley Event Center.
BACKGROUND: The 2020 Proposed Rental Rates reflect changes based on the improved
presentation of rates based off rounding up to whole dollar amounts. The
rate changes also reflect changes to our RV program by allowing a
discount for the customers that manage their own event RV bookings.
RV bookings take a serious amount of staff time, but we are developing
ways to offer that to our customers, while incentivizing the program for
customers that are currently or wanting to continue the program
internally.

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the Commissioners hold a Public Hearing to consider
Amending Rental Rates at the Kittitas Valley Event Center and to
consider approval of a Resolution to adopt an update to the Kittitas
Valley Event Center rental and use fee schedule.
