RESOLUTION

RESOLUTION TO ADOPT AMENDMENTS TO FEES OF THE KITTITAS VALLEY EVENT
CENTER RENTAL AND USE FEE SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, The Director of the Kittitas Valley Event Center (KVEC) has the authority to establish
the various rates, discounts, packages, policies, and procedures governing the use of the KVEC; and
WHEREAS, the residents of Kittitas County benefit from having published rate structures for KVEC
facilities available for use; and
WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners has the authority to establish or
affirm such rate structures by resolution; and
WHEREAS, a rate structure that is established by resolution protects the public from preferential and
arbitrary pricing; and
WHEREAS, proposed amendments to the 2020 rate/fee structure currently in place for KVEC and the
Fair are attached hereto and incorporated by reference; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing is scheduled for January 21, 2020 for public comment;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County,
Washington, hereby adopts the proposed amendments to the KVEC Rental and Use Fee Schedule, which
is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.
