ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve Resolution Authorizing Execution of an
Interlocal Agreement between Kittitas County Sheriff's Office and Department of
Natural Resources
BACKGROUND: The purpose of this Agreement is to specially commission DNR
limited authority law enforcement officers in Kittitas County in compliance with the
requirements of the Washington Mutual Aid Peace Officers Powers Act (chapter 10.93
RCW) and the Interlocal Cooperation Act, (chapter 39.34 RCW).
INTERACTION: This Agreement was reviewed and approved by the Kittitas County
Prosecutor's Office.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve Resolution Authorizing Execution of an
Interlocal Agreement between Kittitas County Sheriff's Office and Department of
Natural Resources
HANDLING: Return one signed Resolution to the Sheriff s Office. Sheriff s Office
will provide one signed agreement upon receiving signature from DNR.
LEAD STAFF: Sheriff's Office command staff.
