BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OFWASIDNGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019-.J.1.I <br />TO A WARD THE BID TO FURNISH SNOW & ICE CONTROL PRODUCTS FOR 2020 <br />AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SIGN CONTRACT <br />DOCUMENTS <br />WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was advertised for Snow and Ice Control Products for 2020 on <br />October 17 , 2019 and October 24 , 2019 ; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on October 31, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in the office of Kittitas <br />County Public Works and two (2) bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bid of Rankin Products, <br />LLC for Item #4 -Non Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride be accepted; and <br />WHEREAS: No bids were received for Items 1 through 3 or for Item 5; and <br />WHEREAS: After negotiations, the current Vendor for Item 5, Roadwise, Inc. has agreed to continue <br />their accepted bid pricing from 2019, awarded under Resolution 2018-178 ; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2020 Snow & Ice Control Products to Rankin Products, LLC <br />for Item #4 -Non Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride; and the responsible bid of Roadwise, Inc . <br />for Item #5 -RoadSaver -Soil Stabilizer, upon such terms and conditions as specified in the Proposal <br />submitted by said bidder(s); and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the contract <br />documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s). <br />DATED this 3rd day of December, 2019, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASIDNGTON
