<br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> “Leah Holmgren Day” <br />December 13, 2019 <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Leah Holmgren is a senior at Ellensburg High School and a respected leader of the Cross <br />Country team; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Leah is an athlete who is known for her dedication, commitment, tremendous work ethic, <br />academic excellence in the classroom, and exemplary character both on and off the race <br />course; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Leah has been recognized in many ways for her talent throughout her high school career <br />including a third and fifth place finish in State; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: On Saturday November 9, 2019 Leah clinched the individual Championship Title for the <br />2A Girls Cross Country with a time of 18:16 on a 5,000 meter course at the Sun Willows <br />Golf Course in Pasco, Washington; <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Leah is ending her high school Cross Country career as the 2A Girls Individual State <br />Champion and will be running next year for the University of Idaho, which is an NCAA <br />Division 1 school; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners would like to <br />request that the citizens of Kittitas County join them in celebrating and honoring Leah Holmgren and her <br />accomplishments throughout her Cross Country career at Ellensburg High School by Proclaiming Friday <br />December 13, 2019 as “Leah Holmgren Day” in Kittitas County. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 3rd Day of December 2019. <br /> THE KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> <br /> Cory Wright, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board
