AGENDA DATE: October 15, 2019
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set Public Hearing for 2019 Annual Docket Amendments to
Kittitas County Comprehensive Plan and County Code
BACKGROUND: CDS staff is requesting to set a public hearing on November 12th at 6:00pm in the
BOCC Auditorium for consideration of proposed amendments to Kittitas County
Comprehensive Plan and County Code through the annual “Docket” process. The
County accepted citizen amendment requests through June 30, 2019 (June 28th was
the last business day) for consideration by the Kittitas County Planning Commission
and the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners. The amendments must be
consistent with the Growth Management Act and other applicable state laws,
applicable countywide planning policies, and the goals, policies, and objectives of the
Comprehensive Plan.
The Kittitas County Planning Commission was scheduled to conduct a public hearing
on October 8, 2019 to consider the changes however due to a lack of quorum the
meeting was unable to be held. A special meeting is now scheduled to consider the
changes at a public hearing on October 29, 2019. A staff report containing staff
recommendations and the Planning Commission recommendations along with the
docket items will be provided prior to the public hearing. All docket items are
currently available on the Community Development Services website at:
