Conduct a Public Hearing to consider the adoption
of the Annual Construction Program for 2020 and
the Six Year Transportation Improvement Program
for the Years 2020-2025.
BACKGROUND: Public Works has prepared an Annual Construction
Program for 2020 and a Six Year Transportation
Improvement Program for 2020-2025.
INTERACTION:
Two open houses were held on September 16, 2019
in Lower County and one on September 19, 2019 in
Upper County to receive public input and comments
regarding said plans. No changes to staff's
proposals are necessary based on public comment
that was received.

RESOLUTION
NO.
ADOPTING AN ANNUAL CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM FOR 2020
WHEREAS: In accordance with R.C.W. 36.81.121, the County Engineer has prepared an Annual
Construction Program for 2020; and
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners has reviewed and updated the County's priority road
construction program incorporating current bridge inspection findings; and
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners has access to Public Works priority scoring array
and 2018 Bridge Inspection Report and said documents were utilized by staff preparing the
proposed 2020 Annual Construction Program; and
WHEREAS: Two separate public outreach events were conducted collecting comment on Public Work's
draft Annual Construction Program for 2020 (Lower County on 09-16-19 and Upper
County on 09-19-19); and
WHEREAS: No public comments were received to be incorporated into Public Work's draft Annual
Construction Program for 2020; and
WHEREAS: A Public Hearing was opened on October 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners'
Auditorium concerning adoption of the said Annual Construction Program for 2020; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, after due
consideration, does hereby adopt the said Annual Construction Program for 2020, hereto
attached, as now submitted by the Kittitas County Director of Public Works and County
Engineer.

ADOPTING A SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PLAN FOR THE
YEARS 2020-2025
WHEREAS: In accordance with R.C.W. 36.81.121, the County Engineer has prepared the 2020-
2025 Six -Year Transportation Improvement Plan for the ensuing six year period; and
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners has access to the annual bridge report (2018) and
the priority array (2019) that were consulted during the preparation of this Six -Year
Transportation Improvement Plan; and
WHEREAS: Two separate public outreach events were conducted collecting comment on Public
Work's draft Six -Year Transportation Improvement Plan (Lower County on 09-16-19
and Upper County on 09-19-19); and
WHEREAS: No public comments were received to be incorporated into Public Work's draft Six -
Year Transportation Improvement Plan; and
