STAFF REPORT
DATE: September 9, 2019
ACTION REQUESTED: Consider approval of a Resolution Authorizing an
Amendment to the Kittitas County Travel Policy
establishing a County provided refreshment and/or meals
policy and procedure.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County has a Travel Policy in place that details the
circumstances in which employees can seek reimbursement
for meals. The Travel Policy is currently limited to
reimbursement of meals and does not authorize the
purchase of meals by the County for employees. There is
interest in expanding the Policy to allow for County
provided meals in limited circumstances contingent on
observation of proper protocol.
INTERACTION: The Prosecutor’s office was directed to draft the attached
resolution.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution as attached.
