KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />DATE: September 9, 2019 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Consider approval of a Resolution Authorizing an <br />Amendment to the Kittitas County Travel Policy <br />establishing a County provided refreshment and/or meals <br />policy and procedure. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County has a Travel Policy in place that details the <br />circumstances in which employees can seek reimbursement <br />for meals. The Travel Policy is currently limited to <br />reimbursement of meals and does not authorize the <br />purchase of meals by the County for employees. There is <br />interest in expanding the Policy to allow for County <br />provided meals in limited circumstances contingent on <br />observation of proper protocol. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutor’s office was directed to draft the attached <br />resolution. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution as attached. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENT: Resolution to Authorize an Amendment to the Kittitas <br />County Travel Policy Establishing A County Provided <br />Refreshment and/or Meals Policy and Procedure. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Stephanie Hartung, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney
