ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution awarding funding for Grants
pursuant to Law & Justice Council recommendations on spending of 1 /10th of 1% Sales
Tax Reserves.
BACKGROUND: One of the Kittitas County Law & Justice functions is to make
recommendations for funding of grants to meet the objectives of the council, aimed at
reducing crime in our county or educating our citizens about law and justice concerns.
These expenditures shall be made from the 1 / 10th of 1% sales tax reserve account
established by the Board of County Commissioners for spending on special projects to
foster cooperation, sharing of resources and enhancement of criminal justice projects
within Kittitas County.
INTERACTION: This Kittitas County Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution awarding funding for
Grants pursuant to Law & Justice Council recommendations on spending of 1/10th of 1%
Sales Tax Reserves.
HANDLING: Return one signed original to the Sheriff's Office
